Breyer rejected HP’s proposed deal to pay $48 million fees to shareholders’ lawyers for suing Autonomy’s executives. According to the settlement reached in June between HP and the plaintiff shareholders, the latter will drop litigation charges against HP CEO Meg Whitman and other executives, and team up with the company to press charges against the previous executives of Autonomy. Newmont Mining Corp (NYSE:NEM) has called off its arbitration filing with the Indonesian government, signifying a resolution to the seven-month dispute is near. Company officials confirmed on Tuesday the US-based miner had reached a “constructive solution” over Indonesia’s new mining laws.
