Trader’s Alert: Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK), Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG), AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T), Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S)


India’s top court is due to hear on Monday Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) ‘s appeal challenging a lower court ruling over transfer of its mobile handset plant in the country to Microsoft amid a tax dispute. Nokia last month appealed to the Indian Supreme Court saying the Delhi High Court had imposed “new conditions” over transfer of the plant, after previously allowing it. Shares of Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) closed at $7.58 in last trading session. Yesterday share price of the company was traded in the range of $7.58 – $7.81. Company now has a market value of $28.14 billion. Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) price to sales ratio in past twelve months was calculated as 0.81 and price to cash ratio as 3.78.

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) and Samsung Electronics Co. (005930) joined Chinese mobile phone makers in expressing concern to China that Microsoft Corp. (MSFT)’s bid to take over Nokia Oyj (NOK1V)’s phone business may result in higher patent licensing fees, two government officials familiar with the matter said. Google and Samsung asked China’s Ministry of Commerce to make sure that the 5.44 billion euro ($7.5 billion) bid doesn’t result in higher fees on wireless technology patents that will remain with Nokia, the two officials said, asking not to be identified because the request wasn’t made public. They’re also concerned Microsoft will gain more power over the smartphone market and may abuse its patents, according to the people. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) stock traded in the range of $1,206.22 – $1,224.19 and at the end of the day, it closed at $1,215.65. Average trading volume of the company is $131.00. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) return on equity ratio is recorded as 15.90% and its return on assets is 12.50%.

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) executives huddled with small groups of investors in Barcelona this week to discuss their willingness to own cable assets and stretch their balance sheet for big investments in mature economies like those in Europe, said people with knowledge of the matter. AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) after opening at $32.25, moved down -0.93% to $31.93 on last trading day. Company’s 52 week range is $31.74 – $39.00.

Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) Chief Financial Officer Joe Euteneuer will speak at the 2014 Deutsche Bank Media, Internet & Telecom Conference in Palm Beach, Fla. on Monday, March 10 at 1:30 p.m. ET. Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) stock hit highest price at $8.77, beginning with a price of $8.66 and decreased/increased 1.04% to the close at $8.74 with day range of $8.53 – $8.77. The total market capitalization of the stock is $34.40 billion.
