Sony Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) Plans To Release Affordable Bravia Sets In India


Electronics major Sony Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:SNE) India plans to release small screen Bravia brand TV sets with price starting from Rs. 15,000 to valve demand in little cities as well as towns crossways the country.

The firm is predicting Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities to increase volume, whereas sales of high-end products in the large metro markets will push its revenue margins. It is in addition targeting 20% increase in revenue this fiscal.

There is enormous growth impending hidden in the lesser cities. For large metro, they are focusing on value strategy.

Sony India Managing Director Kenichiro Hibi told PTI that they are annoying to sell high-end products in metros. They want to advance right customers with right products.

He declared that the firm would release a new range of affordable and compact TV sets by the end of this year.

He added that they will release affordable television sets for tier II and III cities this year and remain prices around Rs.15,000.
