Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) has confirmed the departure of Chief Revenue Officer Michael Barrett on Friday. The company said he will be leaving the company in December, as Chief Executive Officer Marissa Mayer goes on with putting her personal stamp on the Internet firm’s management team. Mr. Barrett’s exit has been predicted since Yahoo declared its appointment of new Chief Operating Officer Henrique De Castro earlier this month.

Mr. De Castro who formally has worked with Ms. Mayer during her time at competitor Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) is projected to join Yahoo Inc. (YHOO) on or before Jan. 22 of next year. Ms. Mayer, who managed Google’s major search business ahead of transitioning to a more peripheral role supervising maps and local efforts, was added as Yahoo’s CEO in July.
