Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Xbox SmartGlass app now adds support for tablets of the 7-inch variety

The Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) Xbox SmartGlass app is said to now work on 7-inch Android tablets, so Nexus 7 can be used to control users console. Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) Play had already made the app available, but wasn’t compatible with tablets of this size. Not on the record, anyway. SmartGlass has been made available for iOS devices, too.

The update is aimed to also fix some bugs that led the app to crash on the achievements and settings screens. The Xbox SmartGlass app allows using your mobile device as a controller for your Xbox 360. This would help navigate the Xbox dashboard, pause and rewind films, and will let you to surf the web on your TV. Users can also have the device’s keyboard for typing, which will be a lot more intuitive when compared with using the controller for each individual keystroke.
