For the first time with more power-efficient and innovative designs, and cutting edge manufacturing, Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) chipmaker is poised to surpass ARM Holdings plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:ARMH) chipmaker.

MIT’s Technology Review’s business editor Jessica Leber said that the apocalypse will occur in next 24 months when Chipzilla begins selling of 14-nanometer chips in 2014 and then it will be the last day for all things ARM Holdings plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:ARMH).

Jessica Leber predicts that American multinational semiconductor chipmaker Intel will pull ahead with its 22-, 14-, and, finally 10-nanometer latest technology, and that this circumference may be its one of the top hope for compelling other device makers to buy its newest mobile phones processors, with new and more competent chip designs.

In this sector, Santa Clara based Intel corporation has been working to crack the problem of power usage which has kept ARM in the top rank.

So we will a big test of that will happen over the next few years, as Intel aims to finally lay claim to the world’s most advanced mobile processors.

Recently, the USEPA (United States Environmental Protection Agency) has released its updated its quarterly rankings of the top “green power” purchasers, and in these ranking Intel still on the top on the national ranking continuously for the fifth straight year.

The high-tech giant Intel leads heads also tops the list that ranks the Top 20 companies that have made an all-in commitment to clean energy.

The USEPA for the contest, the Top 50 companies on the on its list purchase about 17 billion kilowatt-hours (kWhs) combined, about 70% of the clean power dedications made through its Green Power Partners program.

The protecting human health and the environment agency EPA also considers green power to be electricity created by solar, biogas, biomass, small-hydro or wind technologies.

Chip maker giant is driving 3.1 billion kWhs in green power consumption on an yearly basis while the other technology companies including Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) at number 3 with 1.1 billion kWhs, Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO)at number 9 with 459 million kWhs, Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S)with 25 position with 176 million kWhs and computer company Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) standing at 39 with 119.4 kWhs.

Sprint Nextel Corporation (NYSE:S)shares fell -0.18% to $5.55, Dell Inc. (NASDAQ:DELL) shares fell -0.15% to $13.02 in premarket, INTC shares 0.10% to $21.07.
