Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) and Nokia Siemens Networks reached in to a contract today a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on a place of common objectives around the development of Liquid Applications, an pioneering approach from Nokia Siemens Networks that will increase the delivery of media-rich services as well as content in a straight line from the base station.

The intention of the association is to surge development of an improved mobile broadband experience that offers operators new revenue and separation opportunities. Nokia Siemens Networks along with Intel will work together in the creation of a mobile edge-computing ecosystem, centering on over-the-top (OTT) content contributors, independent software vendors (ISV) as well as application service providers (ASP). The parties will as well discover new business models among mobile operators and other ecosystem players, making easy engagements with the reason of delivering a superior and profitable buyer experience.

The head of Liquid Net at Nokia Siemens Networks, Dirk Lindemeier stated that mobile operators have a wide network of base stations in many locations.
