India’s industrial production declined 1.8 percent in June, a worse-than-expected result and its third drop in four months as declining manufacturing activity and investment impacted the forecast for Asia’s third-biggest economy.
The government released data today indicating that a 3.2 percent decrease in manufacturing activity led the drop.
Capital goods output, which is a sign of investment in things such as machinery, declined an upsetting 27.9 percent.
