Eleven Major Announcements From Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s Sept. 12 Special Event

Tim Cook took the stage in San Francisco for the largest Apple Inc.’s (NASDAQ:AAPL) event where the iPhone 5 was the big hit. Was that the only key announcement yesterday? No, the company also declared that customers will have iOS 6, about which we first heard in June at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) keynote event, on September 19th.

Apple’s iOS 6 will be equipped with several new features. Siri will be better to make available movie information, sports scores, and the ability to post to Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB)’s social network and Twitter. The latest Passbook app, a mobile manager of things, will hold tickets, passes, and payment cards for participating businesses. Safari will include a full-screen style for enhanced browsing and iCloud tabs to save your open tabs and provide quick access to them on your other iOS phones and your PC.

Maps app will have some really cool features like turn-by-turn directions and a new 3D flyover to provide a more realistic view of buildings and land features. Facebook will be included into iOS 6, enabling to post Photo Stream pictures directly to the social networking service and status updates using Siri.

The application will be provided as a free download for the 4S, 4, 3GS, new iPad, iPad 2 and 4th generation iPod Touch. The iPhone 5 will hit stores with iOS 6.

Another key announcement made yesterday was an update to its iTunes multimedia jukebox and syncing software, introducing a “dramatically simpler” interface with an edge-to-edge design.

Eddy Cue, who is Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, said that they created iTunes for the reason that they love music and they were going back to their roots with an extremely clean design that carry on your music at the front position. The redesigned iTunes works well when used with iCloud, always maintaining your complete media library at your fingertips, and they introduced great latest features that make listening to your music more fun.

The new iTunes would also be integrated with iCloud to display all your media content saved in Apple’s cloud storage service and save your favorite movies or Television shows automatically so that you would be able to pick up where you left off on another device. The new version of iTunes is reportedly set to be available in late October.
