Investors seems have high expectations for the U.S. Federal Reserve and the European Central Bank to introduce new stimulus to bolster the economy when they meet later this week. The Fed’s two-day meeting ends in a statement on monetary policy Wednesday. Of the Dow 30 components majority is up today with Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) gaining sharply and JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE:JPM) leading decliners.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has at last disclosed the release date for its first Surface tablets. Microsoft verified that Surface tablets will be released on October 26 along with Windows 8. In its recent filing with Securities and Exchange Commission last week it stated that the next edition of its operating system, Windows 8, will be available on October 26, 2012. At that time, they will start promoting the Surface, a series of Microsoft-designed and manufactured hardware devices.

Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE)
Shares of Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE), the world’s largest drug developer by revenue, fell down after it reported a decline in second-quarter profits on falling sales of its top-selling cholesterol drug, Lipitor, and broad rivalry for its glaucoma pill Zalatan.
According to a Thomson Reuters survey of analysts, Pfizer Inc. will report earnings of 54 cents a share, dropped 9.3 percent from 60 cents per share in the year-earlier quarter. Revenue is projected to be slipped 12 percent to $14.93 billion from $16.98 billion.
In mid day trading, Pfizer Inc. (NYSE:PFE) dropped -0.88% to $23.61 and total traded volume was 13.37 million shares. Stock price 52 weeks high was $23.94 and 52 weeks low price was $16.63. It has market capitalization of 176.72 billion.
