Current Mortgage Rates Changes – (HSBC, C, JPM, KEY)


Mostly mortgage rates appear higher today as capital markets showed sustained move into riskier investments. Loan rates were not adjusted upward by all the banks. JPMorgan increased their lending rate while mixed results were seen at HSBC Holdings plc (NYSE:HBC).

The average interest rate on 30-year fixed-rate mortgages added six basis points to 3.630 percent.

The gap between the 10-year bond rate and the 30-year loan yield tightened seven bps to 2.050 percent. The average rate on FHA-backed 30-year fixed-rate mortgages rose 11 basis points to 4.088 percent and the average VA loan rate increased twlve basis point to 3.890 percent. JP Morgan has increased its conventional lending rate 14 basis points to 3.83 percent while HSBC showed no change in their purchase mortgage rate, but lifted their refinance rate 13 bps to 4.13 percent.

Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C)

It has been announced that the US bank – Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) joint venture with Morgan Stanley could upshot in a multi-billion slaughter for the bank.

The bank’s $22 billion assessment is 50 times more than the present one-year earnings for the joint venture Morgan Stanley Smith Barney.
Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C) and Morgan Stanley swap over appraisals as part of the sale of Citigroup Inc. (NYSE:C)’s 14% stake to the concluding in the joint venture.

KeyCorp (NYSE:KEY)

KEY is ahead of its 52 week low with 48.47% and its last month price volatility remained 1.82%. Its beta coefficient was 0.88 with a target price of $8.78. KEY has insider ownership of 0.18% while its institutional ownership remained 82.51%. Company’s current year earnings per share grew 94.72% while the five year EPS growth rate was +20.63%.
