Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) Plans To Open New R&D Centre in Israel


The US technology giant Cisco Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO) declared that its aims to open a new R&D center in Israel, the firm CEO John Chambers declared that during his meeting with Israel’s Minister of Finance Yair Lapid.

Xinhua reported that the new centre is anticipated to propose 100 jobs, to be hired to around 2,000 employees previously work at Cisco center in Israel.

The new project, whose focus is information security that would be based on knowledge collected at NDS, an Israeli hi-tech firm purchased previous year by Cisco for $5B, Chambers said.

He added that they would be happy to broaden cooperation with the State of Israel, who is on a three-day visit to Israel ahead an invitation by President shimon Peres to focus the fifth Israeli Presidential Conference.
