Consumer Electronics Show 2013 has revealed Lenovo K900, first Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) Medfield phone. The specifications of a handset includes a 5.5 inch High Definition IPS screen along with 4.1.2 Jelly Beam, a RAM of 2GB, dual core processor, 2 megapixel front camera with dual flash, in-built memory of 16 GB and GSM as well as UMTS network of 3G.
Senior Vice President of the company, Liu Jun stated that K900 is overall a new innovation in Smartphone platform market. Instead of focusing over and over on the spec of the handset, K900 would prove as a game-changer that looks as good as it performs.
Hermann Eul, Intel mobile and communications group general manager further expressed that the handset wholly apprehends a deep collaborating relation between Intel and Lenovo. He is also hopeful that the users would no doubt admire Lenovo’s cutting edge design along with efficiency provided by Intel chip-array within.
Oh the question of K900 price rate, Liu Jun declared it to be announced a day later.
Technology stocks edged up, tech sector gains are driven from the chip sector as the Philadelphia Semiconductor Index (SOX) rose 1%. Intel Corp. were up 1.1% at $21.32, while Texas Instruments (TXN) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) were each up a fraction. Hewlett-Packard Co. (HPQ) soared more than 2.5% at $15.79.
Technology giant, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) plummeted nearly 1% to $521.30. It was reprted by WSJ, the iPhone maker is developing a lower-end iPhone in a bid to gain a bigger share of the smartphone market.
