The Federal Financial Market Service, the Russian securities market regulator has announced an order detailing the procedure for introducing futures contracts on foreign securities. Futures on Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) are included in the list of new instruments that are expected to appear on the Moscow Exchange. With this launch, the range of instruments traded on the Russian derivatives market will be expanded and more investing options would be available which Russian investors currently lack.

The FFMS published the order on Thursday, lifting ban on releasing futures contracts on foreign securities, enabling for the Moscow Exchange to launch new derivatives instruments to its market. The Exchange is considering in its plans a strong demand for futures on Apple and Google shares. Futures on securities of Russian issuers traded in a foreign country are also expected to appear.

Andrey Belinsky, the CEO of Olma Investment Company, said that Russian issuers currently do not place their securities on the Russian market, therefore, they were seeking ways to change that and make things go their way. He added that they never wish to see clients flowing outside Russia and were interested in their money.

U.S.-listed AAPL stock so far dropped about 7 points or 1.08% from previous close of $632.64, at a distance of -4.42% from 20-day simple moving average. For this company, a return on equity of 44.32 percent was realized due to the financial situation. Its previous 52-week high was $705.07 and is up 57% for the same period, currently trading at an average volume of 18.46 million. Shares have risen 6.6% over the trailing 6 months. The stock is currently trading 5.21% below its SMA 50 and 8.08% above its SMA 200. The Beta of this stock is 1.22.
